Provost candidates to visit WSSU
After reviewing applications and conducting initial interviews, a search committee has narrowed the pool for Winston-Salem State University’s next provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs to three candidates.
The candidates will visit WSSU starting on March 28. As part of the visit, each will give a formal campus presentation.
The candidates are:
- Anthony Graham, dean, College of Education, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
- Lawrence T. Potter Jr., dean and professor, College of Arts and Sciences, University of La Verne in La Verne, CA.
- John O. Omachonu, senior vice provost for Academic Affairs, Kennesaw State University, Kennesaw, GA.
Reporting to Chancellor Elwood L. Robinson, the provost is the chief educational and administrative officer of the university. The position was previously held by Dr. Brenda Allen, who became president of Lincoln University (Pennsylvania) in July.
