WSSU invites you to 'Paint the Town Red' in April
Winston-Salem State University (WSSU) is looking to engage alumni, the community and prospective students with Paint the Town Red, which runs April 10-14.
The weeklong celebration of all things WSSU includes one of the biggest academic events and one of the university’s biggest fundraisers.
Scholarship Day
WSSU will hold Scholarship Day on April 12. Across campus, students from various
academic programs will share their work through panel discussions, contests and presentations.
A highlight is a poster presentation, with undergraduate and graduate students presenting their research. The free event allows the university community, employers and the community to see first-hand the kind of work WSSU students are doing.
The presentations will be held from 1:30-3 p.m. on the intramural basketball court in the Donald J. Reaves Student Activities Center (DJR).
WSSU Golf Classic
The WSSU Foundation will present one of its biggest fundraising events, the 18th Annual WSSU Golf Classic, on Friday, April 13. The event supports student scholarships.
This year’s tournament will be at a new location, Meadowlands Golf Club, the Triad’s only Hale Irwin designed course. The 18-hole tournament will include lunch from Bib’s Downtown, prizes and awards. Corporate, individual and team sponsorships are available.
To register for the tournament as an individual, team, or to become a sponsor visit the Golf Classic website.
