WSSU students attend Clemson summer communications program
Five Winston-Salem State University (WSSU) students learned about the impact of effective communication as part of the first Clemson University Erwin Center Summer Scholars (ECSS) program.
As part of the program, Erwin Scholars networked with industry professionals, received hands-on training and engaged in a competition by working on a real-world brand project from presenting sponsor Denny’s.
"I enjoyed this program because they taught and gave us information, but we also had hands-on training from professionals in the marketing world," said Sydney Bowman, a WSSU senior who participated in the one-week program.
These WSSU students also participated: seniors Ariel Dancy, Kennadi McCoy, and Alysia Boney; and junior Caliyah Sanders.
