WSSU commends first Adobe Creative Campus faculty fellows

Eight Winston-Salem State University faculty members and Center for Innovative and Transformative Instruction (CITI) fellows become Adobe Creative Campus Faculty Fellows after completing the Adobe Creative Campus Faculty Development Institute.

“This is a pretty huge accomplishment for our team and faculty, said Dr. Wanda White, director of CITI at WSSU. “Participants experienced a dynamic program of hands-on development workshops that connected everyone with other Adobe Creative Campuses to share ideas, strategies, and solutions.”  

WSSU faculty participants took away a digital teaching portfolio to inspire others on campus and received certification as an Adobe CC Faculty Fellow for completion of the program. 

The WSSU Adobe CC Faculty Fellows are: 

  • Manju Bhat,chair and associate professor of physiology 
  • Bart Ganzert, senior faculty development specialist, CITI
  • Carly Kemmis,associate professor of cell and molecular biology 
  • Jack Monell, associate professor and program coordinator, Justice Studies 
  • Antionette Moore, instructional technologist, CITI
  • Andrea Patterson-Masuka, associate professor of communication and media studies 
  • Nancy Smith, associate professor of physical therapy 
  • Wanda White, director of CITI 

WSSU is the only historically Black college or university (HBCU) to be an Adobe CC campus in the country.

WSSU chancellor presides over historic commencement ceremony

Winston-Salem State University celebrated its fall graduates during commencement Friday, Dec. 13. More than 500 students became alumni, ready to depart to serve, during the historic ceremony that was presided by the university’s first female chief administrator, Chancellor Bonita Brown.
