Physical Therapy seeks volunteers for student research dealing with back issues

Winston-Salem State University’s Department of Physical Therapy is looking for participants for a study titled: “Evaluation of segmental lumbar spinal motion and physiological responses following common spinal mobilization techniques.”

The student research group is seeking participants 18 and older with the greatest need for 50 years or older, who do not currently have any lower back pain and have not previously had low back surgery. Participants attend one (1) session for about 45 minutes. 

Dr. Nathan J. Savage, board certified in orthopedics and clinical electrophysiology and registered in musculoskeletal sonography, is an assistant professor in the Department of Physical Therapy. He is leading the research.

  • Friday, April 5, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

  • Friday, March 29, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.)
  • Friday, April 12, 2-5 p.m.
  • Friday, April 19, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
