RamADVISORY: Boil Water Advisory Lifted - July 31, 2026

RamADVISORY: The City of Winston-Salem has officially lifted the boil water advisory for the campus area. Water service has been restored to normal conditions, and campus water can now be used for drinking, cooking, and all other routine uses.

RamADVISORY: Water Restoration Update - July 29, 2026

RamADVISORY: Water service is in the process of being substantially restored following the major water main break affecting the area water system. While repairs are ongoing and some areas may continue to experience reduced water pressure, the university will end Condition 2: Suspended Operations and resume normal campus operations at 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2026. RamADVISORY: Campus Condition 2, Water Disruption Update - July 29, 2026

Due to major water main breaks affecting Winston-Salem and Forsyth County water system, Winston-Salem State University will be moving to Condition 2: Suspended Operations at 1:00PM on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, until further notice.

RamADVISORY: Campus Impacted by City Water Main Break - July 29, 2026

RamADVISORY: Campus is currently experiencing low water pressure and interruptions in water service due to a water main break within the City of Winston-Salem. Areas impacted include Winston-Salem, Kernersville, and Walkertown. City Utilities staff are aware of the situation and working diligently to make repairs but have not yet provided a time for water restoration. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
