Saturday Academy
The Saturday Academy of the NC-MSEN Pre-College Program occurs during the fall and spring semesters. The students receive academic instruction in mathematics, science and technology. Mathematics and science topics are covered throughout the year. In addition, students are made aware of academic course selection, SAT requirements and tips, the college selection process, financial aid, scholarships and mathematics and science career opportunities. Included in our curriculum are parent workshops that focus on supporting children's education and academic preparation.
The Saturday Academy operates as a hybrid program with in-person and virtual dates please view our MSEN Events calendar for details.
- In-person classes are scheduled with a 10-minute separation to allow for room sanitation and for scholars to navigate to their next class in a timely and secure manner.
- Virtual classes begin with announcements and guest speakers at 9:00 a.m. via Zoom. Coursework begins at 10:00 a.m., at which time scholars will be assigned to designated break out rooms for the various topics.
The NC-MSEN Pre-College Program will admit students on a first-come first-serve basis. Courses will be taught in mathematics, science, technology, and enrichment for middle and high school students.
