Winston-Salem State University cares about you, your health, and your safety. The Office of Interpersonal Violence Prevention (IVP) is committed to creating a safe and non-threatening environment for  all WSSU students.

The Office of Interpersonal Violence Prevention is committed to providing support, advocacy, prevention, outreach, and awareness education for our campus community.

The goal of IVP is to foster healthy, stable, and nurturing relationships through education, holistic student development, and community resources. By placing community safety and students’ wellbeing at the center of our programs and services. We will prepare our Rams to lead civil and healthy lives.

We provide services for students experiencing:

  • Domestic violence
  • Sexual Abuse
  • Dating violence
  • Stalking & Bullying
  • Violence through social media
  • Family Violence
  • Harassment
  • Other personal threats

We offer you:

  • Workshops and trainings about identifying abusive behaviors and creating healthy interpersonal relationships
  • Referrals to the WSSU Wellness Center which provides medical care and counseling
  • Literature about interpersonal violence
