WSSU Open House: The Ram Experience

Winston-Salem State University is like no other HBCU! This is an opportunity to meet other #FutureRams and see first-hand why the Ramily is so special. You’ll enjoy a day exploring our beautiful and historic campus. Here is what you can expect:


  • Experience Powerhouse Cheerleaders and the Red Sea of Sound. 
  • Learn how affordable a WSSU education can be!
  • Engage with student life, campus tours, and the breezeway.
  • Explore majors at the academic fair.
  • Ask faculty and staff members anything.
  • * Display Ram Pride at a WSSU Football Game.

Program Agenda

7am: Check-In Begins 

8am: Program Starts

1pm: * Rams Football kicks off v Johnson C. Smith Golden Bulls 

* Your open house experience will wrap up at Bowman Gray Stadium where WSSU RAMS take on the Golden Bulls of Johnson C. Smith University. The first 2,000 students to preregister and check-in will receive one football game ticket.  Guests may purchase general admission tickets at the gate.


Group Registration

If you plan to bring a group of 6 or more students to Fall Open House, please sign up using our Group Registration Form. The Office of Campus Visits will work with you to accommodate your visit.

ATTIRE: We encourage comfortable casual attire for our guests. Sneakers or comfortable walking shoes are highly encouraged as our day will include a full exploration of campus.

ACCESSIBILITY: We want everyone to have a great day. We have very comfortable shuttles and golf carts for any guest that may need extra assistance.

PARKING: Parking will be on the main campus. Guests are asked to enter campus at MLK, Jr. Drive and Cromartie Streets. Please follow the event parking signage.
