Biography
Dr. Estevez teaches Art History in the Department of Art + Visual Studies at WSSU. She earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey.
Her current areas of research and interest are artistic identity in early modern Spain and Latin America, transatlantic cultural exchange in early modern art history, the history of the print, and the history of collecting. She is presently working on two book projects that deal with the collecting of Renaissance and Baroque prints in the US South and the intellectual milieu of the Spanish-Neapolitan artist Jusepe de Ribera (1591-1652).
