Club Sports Directory
Recreational clubs are open to all members of the WSSU community. Competitive clubs may be limited to students depending upon the rules of their national governing body or competition.
Men's Club Basketball
The WSSU Men compete in local and regional extramural tournaments. The team practices and scrimmages on campus. The club competes in the MLK Tournament co-sponsored by Wake Forest University and Winston-Salem State University in January of each year.
Running Club
The WSSU Running club is a recreational club which encourages members to stay fit. The club meets in the afternoons or evenings for runs near campus and in Winston-Salem. Open to all levels of runners, the club welcomes students, faculty and staff.
Soccer Club
Our co-recreational soccer club plays on Saturdays on campus. The club meets for indoor and outdoor soccer as well as going to watch area games. All are welcome.
Unified Sports Club
Unified sports is a growing phenomenon at WSSU. Our students partner with Special Olympic Athletes for a variety of different sports. It's competitive and a lot of fun!
Volleyball Club
The volleyball club practices and plays intra-squad games on campus. It is a recreational club which plans to compete with area schools in the near future. The club is open to all students, faculty and staff.
Women's Club Basketball
The WSSU Women's team practices and scrimmages area athletic and club teams. The club competes in the MLK Tournament co-sponsored by Wake Forest University and Winston-Salem State University in January of each year.
