We are delighted to welcome you to our Homecoming 2024 FAQ page! This is your one-stop guide to all the exciting details surrounding this year’s Homecoming festivities. From our calendar of events to reunion plans, we’ve got you covered.

When do game tickets go on sale and who do we play?  

Ticket sales begin the week of September 3, 2024. The Rams will compete against Fayetteville State at 1:30 pm at Bowman Gray Stadium. This year we are going cashless with tickets sales. 

General Admission Tickets: $50 
Reserved Tickets: $75

What's happening on campus for alumni? 

Alumni are invited to return to campus throughout the homecoming week. Please review the calendar for full details of all the on-campus events. Here are just a few events; please look at the entire calendar.

THURSDAY:  
  • Alumni Return to Serve and Return to Serve Panel
  • Dr. Alex Johson Education Celebration of Excellence
  • Vendor Fair 
  • Alumni Nurses Organization Gala 
FRIDAY:  
  • Founder’s Day Convocation
  • Alumni Check- In 
  • Vendor Fair
  • NAA Hall of Distinction 
  • Crowning Ceremony of Miss and Mr. Alumni 
  • Alumni Gala for Miss and Mr. Alumni  - Night of Elegance Gala  
SATURDAY:  
  • Homecoming Parade 
  • Football Game vs. Fayetteville State begins at 1: 30pm at Bowman Gray Stadium  
  • Return to the Yard following the game 
SUNDAY:  
  • The 4th Quarter 4th Alumni Basketball Game

 What about parking on campus?   

Complimentary shuttle buses from WSSU to downtown Winston-Salem will be offered on Friday for the Convocation program. Alumni and guest are allowed to park on campus in non-reserved spaces.   

Where can I purchase tickets?  

Tickets to the football game can be purchased online or by visiting the ticket office, Monday - Friday from 9 am - 4 pm. The ticket office is in the Anderson Center on the Ground floor in G14A.  

Game Day Parking and tailgate spaces are sold the day of the game at Bowman Gray Stadium. Tailgaters can begin lining up at 6 am on the game day. Parking lots will open at 6 am.  

Do you have any hotel room blocks available? 

The city of Winston-Salem will be hosting not only our homecoming but also the NC Music Educators Conference and a Wake Forest football game, so hotel rates are higher than usual. Thanks to the WSSU Foundation and Visit Winston-Salem for assisting us with obtaining a few room blocks.
