Director named for CETL
Dr. Eli Collins-Brown has been named the director of the Center of Excellence for Teaching and Learning (CETL).
Collins-Brown brings over 19 years of experience as an instructional developer, designer, technologist, and instructor. Most recently, she served in various roles at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, including the director of faculty development, faculty development fellow and assistant professor in the School of Medicine.
“We are extremely pleased Dr. Collins-Brown has decided to join WSSU; her vast experiences will continue to guide us towards the goals and objectives we have set forward in this strategic plan for faculty and student success,” stated Dr. Brenda Allen, Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs.
She has previously served as the dean of educational technology and faculty development at the Methodist College of Nursing. She serves as adjunct faculty at the University of Maryland University College.
Eli holds a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from Illinois State University, a master’s degree in Educational Research and Collaboration from Texas Christian University and a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Northwoods University.
CETL provides expertise, opportunity, instruction and scholarship to empower WSSU faculty to be effective teachers.
