WSSU celebrates new Heritage Society inductees with virtual ceremony

WSSU welcomes its newest Heritage Society members during 2020 virtual induction ceremony. 

Winston-Salem State University welcomed over 60 new Heritage Society members during a virtual induction ceremony on Dec. 3. The Heritage Society honors individuals who have established an endowed fund or included the university in their estate plans.

“To this year’s inductees, I offer congratulations and gratitude for your support,” says WSSU Chancellor Elwood L. Robinson. “Your financial commitments will help WSSU develop graduates who thrive in our dynamic and global society – now and well into the future.”

WSSU chancellor presides over historic commencement ceremony

Winston-Salem State University celebrated its fall graduates during commencement Friday, Dec. 13. More than 500 students became alumni, ready to depart to serve, during the historic ceremony that was presided by the university’s first female chief administrator, Chancellor Bonita Brown.
