WSSU Chancellor receives coronavirus vaccine, encourages community to do the same

Winston-Salem State University Chancellor Elwood L. Robinson receives his first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on camera during Novant Health visit. The vaccine was administered by WSSU alumna Panissa Caldwell, director of clinical central operations at Novant Health Medical Group.

Robinson, who is an advocate for the vaccine, hopes to relieve some of the fear around the vaccine and be an example of how easy it is to get vaccinated.

“I think it’s so important today for every single citizen in this country to get vaccinated,” says Robinson.
