WSSU students make an impact with a march to the polls
On October 25 Winston-Salem State University’s Political Action Committee in conjunction with Black Voters Matter and Common Cause organized a march to the polls that brought out over 200 students and trended on the @blackvotersmtr Twitter account with over 394,000 views.
Black Voters Matter is a prominent voting rights organization that is dedicated to mobilizing Black voters. Their 2022 campaign tour is named "We Won't Black Down,” and their “Blackest Bus in America” has been making stops throughout to region to connect with Black voters, influencers, policy makers, faith-based leaders, and HBCU students.
