Dr. Hossein Khalili as the Senior Associate Dean for the School of Health Sciences

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Hossein Khalili as the Senior Associate Dean for the School of Health Sciences. Dr. Khalili is an internationally recognized scholar, expert, and leader in the field of interprofessional education. He has more than 25 years of experience in healthcare, 15 of which are in higher education.  He joins us from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (UW) where he served as the Director of UW Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education (IPE). In that role he was responsible for developing, advancing, and leading a culture of collaboration, innovation, inclusion, community engagement and partnership to foster IPE of 12 programs including, Genetic Counseling, Medicine, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Pre-Health, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant, Public Health, Social Work, and Veterinary Medicine. Prior to that he served as the Coordinator of a Bridge Program for Internationally Educated Nurses at the School of Nursing at Fanshawe College.

Dr. Khalili serves as president of IPR.Global, a Global Network for Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Practice (IPECP) research that engages world-renowned and emerging scholars, leaders, service providers, decision-makers, administrators, service-users, and health and social care students in research and scholarship collaborations.

In the role of Senior Associate Dean, Dr. Khalili will be responsible for assisting the Dean with managing academic affairs for the School of Health Sciences to include ensuring that the academic standards and policies of the University, Graduate School, School of Health Sciences (SOHS), and accrediting and approval agencies are met.
