CITI Faculty Fellow Program
The Center for Innovative and Transformative Instruction (CITI) Faculty Fellows Program is designed to orient faculty to faculty development, teaching and learning methodologies, pedagogical leadership, and technological innovation. As a CITI Faculty Fellow, the ideal candidate must have an interest in faculty development, teaching, learning, technology, and learning new innovations in collegiate instruction. Candidates must have strong interpersonal, teaching, coaching, mentoring, and strategic thinking skills relevant to assisting other faculty with professional development.
CITI Faculty Fellows commit to serve a full academic year with CITI and are assigned specific projects to lead, relevant to the WSSU Strategic Plan, current CITI Projects, and/or assignments given to CITI by the Office of the Provost. CITI Fellows are expected to serve one session of Summer term after the academic year of assignment. CITI Faculty Fellows are a part of CITI Team/Staff for the academic year and are expected to participate in CITI Advisory, weekly team meetings, Faculty Festival, and other CITI events as scheduled.
CITI Faculty Fellows receive a stipend each semester or a course release in which the department is paid to hire an adjunct or pay an overload. Stipend amount is to be determined by the Office of the Provost.
Mission
The mission of the CITI Faculty Fellows Program is to develop faculty leaders who are instructional leaders, student-centered and willing to serve as faculty development coaches and mentors in the Center for Innovative and Transformative Instruction at WSSU.
